I am inspired, frankly, by The Boob, and of her dedication to keeping her blog open despite the (in/re?)-surgence of Facebook.
Although, I have nothing interesting to say at the moment other than to update that everyone around me is going through crazy/exciting/scary sh*t... and nothing is really going on with me. Well, other than supporting my friends/relatives in their crazy/exciting/scary stuff - which frankly is good enough for me.
I was in Alaska last week managing a program. It... was a challenge. I have a meeting next week to discuss/"debrief" but am not looking forward to it. All I have to say is, I'm glad it's over. Although it's got me thinking if I still want to be in this business or not... time will tell. I've not doubted my abilities until this program though, that is a big thing I need to deal with.
Prior to that have just been working and doing the lead-up to the Alaska program and finishing off one other program, not sure there will be more for me to head up (hopefully none quite so intricate/unknown, or just hopefully none). Kinda takes the wind out of the summer... I quite think I've missed summer completely - so am glad I have this last week off to relax, go to the beach, try out my new golf clubs (!)... although i think it's no longer beach weather, at least this week... pity.
Perhaps need a job that allows me to enjoy summer (and also pays me more).
Anyway, just random thoughts. No pet peeves to pass on. Maybe the next post will be in less than 6 months.
